This department is new in the Institute; it was created because of the blur in the interpretation of this term on one hand and its confusion with learning difficulties by many specialists on the other hand. Students who are slow in learning are students coming from academic schools, but who are unable to pursue their course naturally, because they suffer from mental retardation and perhaps a simple behavioral problems in attention, leading to deficiencies in the performance of their cognitive tasks. These cases receive a specialized educational program that takes into account their speed of dispersion of education, their attention and creates more movement and sensory stimuli to enhance their motivation and desire to acquire and store information in their memories. |
